John was born in Bolton, Greater Manchester in the UK in 1948.
Over the past 45 years he has worked at Hotels and Holiday Camps, travelled the world as a Radio Officer, repaired computers, worked as a Technical Customer Support Manager and an IT Consultant with Hewlett-Packard.
Since a return to acting with drama training at Bolton Community College in 1990, John has acted in over 50 theatre productions. He has also directed productions during this period. He has performed in an array of dramatic and comedy roles in productions ranging from Ayckbourn to Shakespeare and has been trained in The Meisner Technique of acting.
He appeared as the Russian Ambassador Krushkin in the feature film THE LERMONTOV EDITION and as Husseini in the 2006 feature film O JERUSALEM. John has also featured in short films. Television credits include work for the BBC, Granada and Channel 4 and he has been in the BBC3 series BURN IT, NO ANGELS (Channel 4), MINE ALL MINE (ITV1) and JANE HALL (ITV1). John featured in TV Commercials for TOURISM IRELAND, THE CO-OP BANK idents for THE BILL and as Seedy Sanchez and Crumlin Miner in the POT NOODLE commercials. Since 2005 John has performed about 80 Corporate assignments in the fields of Safeguarding Adults, Mental Health Recovery, Mental Capacity Act Training, Infection Control (NHS) and various Court Room scenarios.
